The trick with temporary assignments (receiverships, foreclosures, etc.) is the ramp-up time involved. That time has to be compensated for up-front, or via an early cancellation fee. We can't sell ourselves short- this is when the courts and others will recognize the value of a professional, and we need to be paid accordingly.
