Swine Flu Resources

Two major health organizations say the H1N1 (swine flu) pandemic could affect a vast portion of the world's population in the coming years. In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has announced that the number of Americans stricken with H1N1 could reach 20 to 40 percent of the population over the next two years. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization's flu chief says the global H1N1(swine flu) outbreak is still in its early stages and 2 billion infections over the course of the pandemic is "a reasonable ballpark to be looking at."

The following Web sites contain further information about the swine flu outbreak, frequently asked questions, preparedness tips and other resources.

Lots of great resources here and posted in a very timely manner. As the Swine Flu begins to move across the world, IREM members can help get the word out and alert their communities and employees of the dangers and precautions to be taken, if we do our part, we will have done our jobs well. Hopefully, in the end will have prevented the spread of viruses to those who live in our communities and work with us every day and most importantly, our loved ones. This is a test of our abilities to work together globally. As we've moved into the technology age we are learning how powerful communication can be.

I dare anyone to accuse IREM of not being on top of the most pressing issues facing our industry and providing it's members with the most current information available!! Once again this is a prime example of the tremendous benefit of being a CPM, ARM,AMO or ACoM. Education and tools are what keep the management gears running smoothly and IREM provides both. Thanks IREM!

This is a great accumulation of links and technical resources for this latest public health emergency/crisis. In addition to the attention that we provide our tenants (their guests, their families and contractors); we must also think of the health of our employees and what we can do to ensure their health and safety. These links certainly deserve multiple looks!

Good information in the websites listed. Everyone should be taking advantage of these resources.

Great article with alot of great resources.

Great updates, please keep up to date on the hyper links as two are not working properly. This is the first place, after phone calls to my IREM network, that I used!
